The volunteer organizing committee of the Royale Greater Moncton Santa Claus Parade regrets to inform the public that due to health and safety issues and concerns related to Covid-19 they will be unable to proceed with the parade this year. While the new plans for a stationary parade protected the viewing public from physical distancing concerns, in the end it could not allay concerns for the volunteers who would be on the floats. The organizing committee knew that it was going to be difficult to pull off the event this year but insisted on giving it the best effort possible.

Each year letter carriers traditionally gathered letters to Santa from children along the parade route. Children are reminded that they can drop their letters into any mailbox free of charge when addressed Santa. Parade goers who usually bring donations to the parade food drive are encouraged to make an effort to still give at other seasonal donation spots around the city or directly to the Food Depot Alimentaire.

Each year the Santa Claus Parade welcomes thousands of people building Christmas and Community Spirit making Greater Moncton a wonderful place to work, live, grow and play.
